She talked to us before the ceremony,we live in Southern California, and wanted to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. She made us feel we could call her anytime about anything. She had the best suggestions and we used them all. Her son played the conch shell and a her friend played the ukelele. “When I first met Kahu Renee Pomaka’i, I was in excruciating pain in my lower back. I was very glad that I met her because she is so awesome as a Lomilomi therapist as well as her special unique shell healing. She uses a special technique with the shells that alleviates blockages and scar tissue, an issue I was dealing with. At first, I thought that the pain in my back would linger on for 3 weeks, but after seeing Kahu Pomaika‘i a few times I felt much better. Currently, I can do all my normal activities I enjoy.
