E Komo Mai (Welcome)
Welcome with Aloha
Aloha and welcome to Hawaiian Aloha Blessings. For the past six years, I stepped away from public ministry to walk a sacred path of mālama—devoting my heart and presence to caring for my beloved father. Following his passing, I return to my calling with a renewed spirit, deep gratitude, and a heart prepared to serve. Every ceremony I guide is rooted in authentic Hawaiian tradition and sacred reverence, including the rare and sacred Hoʻoponopono blessing to bring true alignment, forgiveness, and peace to your union. Whether you are marrying for the first time or renewing your vows, I am honored to stand with you in the circle of love to bless your rings with the hā, the sacred breath of life. Together, we will weave your story into a singular, unforgettable ceremony that honors your commitment.
Meet Kahu Pōmaikaʻi
Rooted in Sacred Lineage & Authentic Service
My ultimate purpose is to pour light into my couples, ensuring you feel truly seen, relaxed, and present. For over two decades, I have had the profound honor of guiding more than a thousand couples into marriage. My foundation is built on deep community trust, having historically been called upon to perform authentic Hawaiian blessings for iconic island destinations, including the Moana Surfrider, the Sheraton, and the Hawaiʻi Prince Hotel.
Since my ordination on Oʻahu in 2006—and throughout 16 years of traditional training under my beloved, late Kumu, Karen Leialoha Kaʻanehe—I have dedicated myself to preserving the sacred practices of my lineage. In 2019, I made the conscious decision to step away from public ministry to serve as my father’s full-time caregiver. This deeply personal season of mālama anchored my understanding of legacy, devotion, and the true depth of aloha, allowing me to return to this calling with an even greater reverence for the vows you are making.
True Hawaiian ceremonial practices, like authentic Hoʻoponopono, cannot be mass-produced. They require profound training, deep intuition, and an open heart. From guiding sacred rituals to helping calm your nerves before you walk down the aisle—and handling administrative details like filing your Hawaiʻi marriage license—my promise is simple: when you stand before me, you can simply rest in the beauty of your commitment.
The Sacred Gift of Hoʻoponopono
A Transformative Hawaiian Clearing Before Your Vows
I am profoundly honored to offer an authentic Hoʻoponopono clearing as part of your wedding ceremony. While this sacred Hawaiian tradition of healing, balance, and forgiveness is rarely experienced in modern weddings, it is the most vital step to take before you share your vows.
The ritual takes only a few intimate minutes, yet the energetic shift is deeply palpable. Over the years, couples have shared the same reflection with me again and again: afterward, they simply feel lighter.
Using a traditional wooden bowl, I gather water from blessed healing pools and add a pinch of paʻakai (sea salt) that I have specially blended with ʻawa and personally blessed.
Dipping a fresh tī leaf into the sacred water, I offer a prayer to gently release any negative energetic connections from the past that no longer serve you.
This beautiful clearing washes away old weights and restores absolute harmony—inviting in fresh, light-filled energy to serve as the pure, unburdened foundation for your marriage and your journey ahead.
a sacred moment, not an assembly line
When you are planning a wedding from the mainland, it is easy to assume all island ceremonies are the same. You might see a $400 package from a big agency and wonder if it makes sense to just go with that.
A generic script takes ten minutes, while a true Hawaiian blessing takes deep presence.
A top local photographer who works with different officiants constantly once told me, "You are special. The couple, the guests, the family... they feel the love coming from you." Hearing that meant everything, because that connection is why I do this work.
A blessing cannot be mass-produced. I do not rush couples through a 15-minute slot to hit the next beach. When we are standing in the circle of love together, I build the connection that is truly felt, I intuit your needs, and I feel your hearts. Because I invest my energy into every ceremony, I limit how many I take each day.
On your wedding day, I give you a full, focused hour on-site. I arrive early to ground the space. I manage the schedule so things move smoothly, but my intention is simply to make sure you never feel rushed or treated like a number.
If you want a singular, unforgettable ceremony where you can connect deeply to your partner, take cleansing breaths, and release all that no longer serves you before your new journey, I would be honored to hold that space for you.
